Message from the CAMBA Director
The CAMBA Learning to Work (LTW) program is constructed to increase the academic achievement of students attending select Transfer High Schools. The long term goal of the LTW program is to assist students in overcoming obstacles that impede their progress towards a high school diploma, and lead them toward rewarding employment and educational experiences after graduation. At Brooklyn Academy High School, CAMBA’s primary emphasis is to provide students with academic, career and educational exploration, post-secondary awareness, work readiness, skills development, and subsidized internships. CAMBA, Inc. has been in partnership with Brooklyn Academy High School since 2007. Brooklyn Academy and CAMBA work collectively, efficiently, and effectively to ensure that our students receive impeccable supportive services, and obtain their high school diploma. We are a small school with a dedicated team who are ready willing and able to provide enrolled students the opportunity to be a part of well-rounded academic and supportive school, the jewel of Bedford Stuyvesant. We pride ourselves with an open door policy; parents/guardians are welcomed and encouraged to visit our school to discuss their child (s) academic progress. For newly enrolled students’ parents/guardians attend orientation to learn about, and discuss the schools policies, procedures, standards and successful outcomes we expect from our students. CAMBA and Brooklyn Academy staff look forward to working with students and their families! Leslie Ann Rosemin Carr Program Director |
